Revisions to NSHS Methods

February 2021:

Several NSHS-approved methods are linked to official methods of ISTA, the International Seed Testing Association. As of Jan 1, 2021, ISTA published revisions to several methods that are NSHS-approved. The majority are minor revisions, and they have been adopted by NSHS after review by the NSHS Administration Unit.

Revisions were made to NSHS methods:

Br 1.1   Xanthomonas campestris pv campestris
Br 2.1  Phoma lingam
Cb 3.1    Cucumber Green Mottle Mosaic Virus
Cb 4.1    Melon Necrotic Spot Virus
Cb 5.1    Squash Mosaic Virus
Lcb 4.1    Verticillium dahliae – Freeze blotter
Lcb 4.2    Verticillium dahliae – NP-10 agar
Lcb 9.1    Acidovorax valerianellae
Pe 1.1   Ascochyta pisi
Pe 2.1   Pea Seedborne Mosaic Virus
Pe 3.1   Pea Early Browning Virus
Pe 4.1   Pseudomonas syringae pv pisi
Rb 1.1   Xanthomonas campestris pv carotae
Rb 2.1   Alternaria dauci
Rb 3.1   Alternaria radicina
So 5.1    Tobamovirus – tomato-pepper

Labs accredited to perform these methods may adopt the new versions at any time between now and their next accreditation renewal.
