NSHS Work Highlighted in Prestigious Phytopathology Review
A new review paper co-authored by NSHS experts has been published in the Annual Review of Phytopathology, a leading journal that publishes invited articles from top experts in the field. The article, titled “Seed Pathology: Challenges and Advances in Ensuring a Safe Global Seed Supply”, explores the evolving landscape of international seed movement and phytosanitary requirements, highlighting the critical role of health testing and inspection to support global food security. The lead author is NSHS Co-Director Gary Munkvold, who partnered with Dr. Lindsey du Toit of Washington State University and Dr. Ric Dunkle, former Senior Director for Seed Health & Trade with the American Seed Trade Association.
This invitation to contribute reflects national and international recognition of the expertise housed within the National Seed Health System and its partners.
