Dr. Tracy Bruns presents at NAPPO workshop in Costa Rica

March 2019:

• National Seed Health System (NSHS), program coordinator, Dr. Tracy Bruns, was invited to present a lecture about Seed Health Testing Methods at a hemispheric workshop organized by the North American Plant Protection Organization (NAPPO). The workshop was focused on the implementation of ISPM 38 which involves the international movement of seeds. At least 18 countries sent representatives to the meeting located in Costa Rica and hosted by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). The goal of the workshop was to discuss barriers to the international movement of seeds and identify opportunities to work together to address these issues.
