PROCEDURE:

1. Seeds are aseptically placed onto SC semi-selective medium, five seeds per dish.

2. After incubation at 24°C for five days, the number of seeds infected by M. pinodes in each seedlot is recorded.

SC-semiselective medium:

2g NaNO3,
1g K2HPO4,
0.5g KCl,
0.5g MgSO4.7H2O,
0.01g FeSO4.7H2O,
15g agar,
30 g soluble starch,
3 g casein,
25 µg/ml propamocarb,
10 µg/mlbenomyl,
50 µg/mlmepronil,
300 µg/mlatrazine,
100 µg/mlstreptomycin sulfate and
200 µg/mlneomycin sulfate per liter of water.
